I understand the magic.

Today I had a great shopping trip! I am very excited about how successful it was. Jeans were on sale @ AE, therefore getting a pair of "jeggings" for $40, which is a good price I've come to find out. Also got a cute pinky-corally top from the sale rack, happened then on to Forever 21, and bought two other tops, bought a new undergarment from lasenza (sale there too!).

Then. I had promised my mom I wouldn't go into DavidsTea... because, well, I go there too too often. But I just wanted an iced tea, and that is all. I couldn't decide between luscious watermelon and midsummer night's dream, then the girl helping me told me there wasn't actually any of those 2! So I decided upon Lime Gelato. While it was steeping, I looked at the wall of tea, and I see it. "MULBERRY MAGIC". I had been wanting to taste this one for oh-so-long. I had never even smelt it, and I knew I wanted to get my hands on it. So, I ask the girl if I can smell it, and she already opens up a new tin (as if she knew I was gonna buy 100g). It was a done deal. 100g later, I walked out with my first tin of mulberry magic. (Lime geltao was verrrry tasty by the way, sippin', waiting in the line for my kernels) which I bought for my lovely boyfriend who came and picked me up after :)

Anyways, extremely successful and so happy, especially because I made it as soon as me and Shawn got back to my house: and it was. Extremely delicious and now I understand what everyone is talking about. Who knew a herbal tea could taste so smooth. This tea may become an everyday thing, and within a weeks time, I may have to go and get myself a wall tin!

Have a good sleep everybody, and remember to tell someone they're beautiful :)

A busy weekend, and a hot Monday!

Hey everyone! I have 2 cooool things to share with y'all! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and are having a satisfying Monday ;) I worked alllllll day and night on Saturday (I'm not joking: worked from 6 am - 2 pm at my Waitressing job, then from 5 - 11 pm at my Banquet serving job!), and I had a marvelous sleep in on Sunday (I didn't go to church though, tsk tsk), then biked on over to my friend's house where we went for brunch at a lovely little place called Pine Ridge Hollow! (www.pineridgehollow.com) it was so magical. I went there for a Christmas dinner with my boyfriend in December, but in summertime it is just as magical! We shared their mushroom perogies (I am a mushroom maniac) and I ended up pairing that with a warm ginormous caramel cinnamon bun and I. Do. Not. Regret. It. All. Also, drank a pot and a half of earl grey tea (can't go wrong). We meandered through the beautiful gift shops, where I bought a lovely hardcover book of quotes entitled "love life".

Afterwards, in the evening I finally got to see HP7PT2 in IMAX 3D! Obviously, was not disappointed, everything was excellent and magical, cried more than a few tears, and all my expectations were met. Excellent, excellent, and I recommend everyone should go see it asap! I also read in the paper today, that it is verrrrry close to reaching a billion dollars in sales, and it hasn't even been out for one week! Crazy town.

Today I'm updating my resume (trying to find a new job...), and while doing so, I opened up my tea cupboard (miraculously not everything came crashing down due to the immense loads of tea in there like the other day) to make a pot (even though its 31 C in Winnipeg today, I kept it hot and not iced) and I found my tin of Chocolate Rocket. I am a DavidsTea fanatic, and I decided to make that tea, having not made it in quite awhile! I completely FORGOT how delicious it was. I've drank 3 cups already, and thinking about making another half pot. I spooned a tsp of honey and added some milk, and I have come to the conclusion that there are few things in life better than a delicious cup of tea. There is something so wonderful about chocolate, yerba mate, raspberries and almonds that make this tea absolutely spectacular. Not too sweet, not too strong, and pretty much it is all blended perfectly. A little nutty, a little chocolately, a little fruity. I never would have imagined that combo, but I am so glad David did.

Well, I am now off to deliver some of my resumes (wish me luck!). I'll leave you with a quote from my new book from Pine Ridge, which slightly describes how my morning has been going:

"if you can spend a perfectly useless afternoon in a perfectly useless manner, you have learned how to live." - Lin Yutang

Have a lovely Monday afternoon (stay out of the sun if you're in Winnipeg!) and remember to hug someone you love.

Love,

Hello! And welcome to my blog!

Hey everybody! Hopefully this blog will last more than 1 post, which is typically the case with my other many blogs that have started. I'm 19 years old, and a nursing student in Winnipeg, MB. Currently I work as a waitress, banquet server, and secretary (many odd jobs - I know!). I love to read, learn, spend lots of time with my boyfriend, watch movies, eat popcorn, bike ride, bake, and a multitude of other things. I hope as we go along this blog, something will be interesting! I hope to provide you with crafty ideas, tea reviews, restaurant reviews, some interesting tid bits, and hopefully one or two things about my not-so-exciting life.

Enjoy! Tell someone you love them today.
